Enertron is proud to be able to service our customers with FAI reports done according to AS9102 standards. Many organizations in the aerospace and defense industry require these First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to provide objective evidence that all engineering, design, and specification requirements are properly understood, accounted for, verified, and documented. The AS9102A Standard establishes documentation requirements for the FAIR with the purpose of providing a consistent documentation requirement for first article inspections. It is intended that the documentation generated on the first article inspection will be a quality record of the supplier and the customer for review of accountability and planning, for performing periodic surveillance and audits to verify conformance, for evaluating root cause and corrective action for any non-conformances, and for problem investigations.
The RoHS directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electronics and electronic equipment. Any RoHS compliant component is tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Hex-c), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE). For Cadmium and Hexavalent Chromium, there must be less than 0.01% of the substance by weight at raw homogenous material levels. For Lead, PBB, and PBDE, there must be no more than 0.1% of the material, when calculated by weight at raw homogeneous materials.
