Email Slim Heat SinksThe trend of electronics has been to make devices smaller, however, the heat load of these devices has increased. This has presented an interesting challenge to thermal engineers. This situation is commonly encountered in modern notebook PCs. In this environment, designers do not have sufficient space for a typical heat sink or an axial fan, yet the heat loads have continued to increase. This need led Enertron engineers to design our line of Slim Heat Sinks.Enertron Slim Heat Sinks
Designed with a slim geometric profile, the Slim Heat Sinks consist of a heat collector, heat pipe, slim blower, and a pipe-through-fin heat exchanger. The heat collector mounts to the heat source and serves as the interface between the heat source and the heat pipe. The heat pipe transports the heat to the fin stack, where it is dissipated to the environment by forced convection. The fin stack is optimized for the blower and available space to maximize its performance. Generally, the overall profile is no taller than 15 mm. Each Slim Heat Sink is tailored to the particular application. This ensures that the solution is designed in the optimum configuration to give the required performance while limiting the size and weight of the solution. Advantages:
