Many heat transfer problems can be solved using conventional aluminum extruded heat sinks. These heat sinks can be ideal solutions for both small and large quantities due to a proven and reliable manufacturing process. The extrusion heat sink manufacturing process is the most cost effective method of forming fins for heat sinks in production quantities.

Extruded heat sinks come in variety of sizes. Enertron's engineers will ensure that each heat sink is designed to fit the customer's application. All heat sink machining is done exactly according to the customer's print, and heat sink surface treatment is customizable.


Extruded heat sinks can be used in either a natural or forced convection environment. These heat sinks can be an ideal thermal solution for workstation CPUs, high performance power supplies and converters, and high-end amplifiers.


Enertron can manufacture a heat sink fin height to fin pitch ratio of up to 10:1. The minimum heat sink fin thickness is typically 1mm. Aluminum 6063-T5 is typically used as the extrusion material for heat sink manufacturing.
